About Our Business
Photographer Kd Reinhold has been interested in photography for most of her
early life, an interest that continued to grow throughout her teen and adult years.
Her first real break came when her parents bought her a digital camera for her high
school graduation in May 2006. Even with this new technology, she was unable to
really use it until July of that year when her father and she went to the Missouri
Botanical Gardens. After spending two hours shooting the daylilies that were in
bloom, Kd came home to discover that she took some wonderful shots, and thus,
she was bitten by the photography bug.
She continues to go to the Botanical Gardens as well as other sites around St. Louis
and the surrounding area. She juggles her time between college and work but still
manages to find time to go out and shoot on nice days. Currently, she is exploring
film photography as part of an Introduction to Photography class she has been
taking during the spring semester.
In Decemeber 2006, Kd's work was featured on CNN as part of CNN's iReport
project. The shot, which can be seen on her secondary website, was taken during
the ice storm that hit the midwest with a fury. After recieving a call at 7am, Kadee
was excited to learn that CNN used her photo on their page. Although they didn't
pay, they sent her a lovely shirt that reads: "i Report for CNN".
LucKy SeVen PhotoGraphy was founded after Kd had been featured on CNN. Kd's
mom sent an email to what Kd believes to be all of St. Louis. Kd recieved an
overwhelming response from family and friends and many people wanted to
purchase some of her work. Starting from just a small photo printer in her
bedroom, Kd began her dream of selling her photos and now she has a fully
functional business and her dream is coming true slowly but surely.
